Keeping Communities Moving: Secure Storage for Cycling and Reuse Hub
When a local tenants and residents association in Hamilton set about creating a dedicated Cycling and Reuse Hub for their community, they needed a storage solution that was secure, weatherproof, and fit for purpose. RFB Containers worked closely with the group from the very start – conducting a site visit, advising on placement, and helping them access the funding they needed to make the project a reality.
What problem was the client facing?
The Challenge
Hillhouse Tenants and Residents Association wanted to establish a Cycling and Reuse Hub, giving local people a dedicated space to store bicycles and equipment, as well as a covered area to carry out repairs. The key challenge was finding storage that could stand up to the Scottish weather, keep equipment secure, and be delivered to a site that required careful planning around placement.
The group also needed support navigating the funding process to bring the project to life.

How did RFB Containers deliver?
The Solution
RFB Containers carried out a site visit ahead of delivery to advise the group on the most suitable positioning for the containers. We also helped the client pull together the information they needed to apply for funding – making the process as straightforward as possible.
Delivery was arranged at an agreed time, with the containers placed exactly as instructed. No fuss, no complications – just a smooth, well-managed delivery from start to finish.

The Result
The Hillhouse community now has a secure, weatherproof storage space for bicycles and equipment, as well as a sheltered area where residents can carry out repairs. The Cycling and Reuse Hub is up and running, giving the local area a practical, long-term asset that supports sustainable travel and community reuse.
