From Container to Off Shore Smoking Shelter
When Deep Blue / Technip FMC required a dedicated off shore smoking shelter to be placed on a ship, they came to RFB for a practical conversion that could stand up to offshore use.
What problem was the client facing?
The Challenge
The brief was clear: create an off shore smoking shelter that could be placed on a vessel, providing a safer, more comfortable space for breaks – without compromising on durability or finish.

How did RFB Containers deliver?
The Solution
RFB converted the unit to spec, including:
- Ply-lined and insulated walls and ceiling
- Personnel door
- 2x open apertures
- Electrics: lighting, sockets, and extractor fan
- Non-slip flooring
- Repainted in Light Ivory (RAL 1015)

How did this help?
The result
A robust, ready-to-install off shore smoking shelter conversion – finished for a clean, professional look and fitted out to support safe, comfortable use onboard.
